The Landscape Department is responsible for maintaining and developing the nearly 500 acres controlled by the Mt. Diablo Unified School District. All landscape maintenance and installation, including weed control, irrigation system repair, pruning, cultivating, mowing, right-of-way control, fertilizing, drainage development, and athletic field maintenance is accomplished by the 25 employees within the Landscape Department.
Pest Control
In addition to attending to the district's landscape needs, the landscape section sustains a district-wide pest control program. This program provides prompt attention to pest control problems, both within and outside of the classroom environment. Any non-urgent pest control problems will be responded to via the normal
