This is a a message of great importance to the safety of our students and community.
We learned this afternoon, that at 2:35 yesterday, a man with grey hair and mustache, in his late 50s used highly aggressive language in an attempt to lure a Pleasant Hill Middle School student into his vehicle. The student was walking by himself. The student is safe. Law enforcement has been informed and is fully involved. The seriousness of this incident is increased because it is the second such incident in a 7 day period at this school.
District staff has been notified and is on high alert. We ask that you speak with your children about safety and ask them to contact parents, district staff, or law enforcement if they observe anything suspicious. The safety of our students is our paramount concern.
