Presidential Inauguration 2017

Hello and Happy New Year,

Hopefully you all had a restful holiday and are ready to take on the second half of our year.  I look forward to 2017 and the continued growth of our students.  I wanted to share some resources that we have put together to assist you in your classrooms as we prepare for new leadership in the United States.  Parents may find this information helpful, as well. We are very lucky to live in a country that has a peaceful transition of leadership and has had one for over two hundred years.

On January 20, 2017 at 12 noon Eastern time, 9 AM Pacific time, we will transition from President Obama to President-Elect Trump.  We anticipate that this may bring up some questions and discussion in your classrooms.  Your students will be interested, and the inauguration may bring up conversations and ideas that will need clarification.  To that end, we have provided some resources for you to use as well as contact information if you have any questions.

Thank you,

Nellie Meyer, Ed. D.
