CERTIFICATED EMPLOYEES

Mt. Diablo Unified School District

The Mt. Diablo Unified School District offers the following benefits package for teachers, library media teachers, school psychologists, speech/language pathologists, certificated school nurses, as well as certificated managers and administrators; your specific individual benefit package depends on your bargaining unit or association classification, the nature of your employment, and the number of hours you work.

The following is a summary of the major benefits for full-time Certificated employees:

• Sick leave:   One (1) day per month credited, depending on your work year (pro-rated for less than full-time service) – your unused time accumulates indefinitely.

• Health Plans:   Kaiser HMO, Blue Shield HMO and Blue Cross PPO plans are available.

• Delta Dental Plan: Covers employees and eligible dependants.  The District pays full monthly premium.  The employee must enroll and provide appropriate documentation to receive coverage for self and eligible dependant(s).

• VSP Vision Care:  Covers employees and eligible dependants.  The District pays full monthly premium.  The employee must enroll and provide appropriate documentation to receive coverage for self and eligible dependant(s).

• Retirement:  Your specific benefits depend on your bargaining unit or association classification and your hours of work.  Specific information will be provided at the time of your acceptance of a position with our District.
