CLASSIFIED EMPLOYEES

Mt. Diablo Unified School District

The Mt. Diablo Unified School District offers an excellent benefit package.  Your specific individual benefit package depends on your classification, the nature of your employment, and the number of hours you work.

The following is a summary of the major benefits for full-time Classified employees:

•  Sick Leave: One (1) day per month, pro-rated for less than full-time; your unused time accumulates indefinitely.

• Health Plans: Kaiser HMO, Blue Shield HMO, and Blue Cross PPO plans are available.

• Delta Dental Plan: Covers employees and eligible dependents.  The District pays full monthly premium.  The employee must enroll and provide appropriate documentation to receive coverage for self and eligible dependent(s).

• VSP Vision Care:  Covers employees and eligible dependents.  The District pays full monthly premium.  The employee must enroll and provide appropriate documentation to receive coverage for self and eligible dependent(s).

• Retirement:  Your specific benefits depend on your bargaining unit or association classification and hours of work and will be explained at the time of your acceptance of a position with our District.
