ANTI-BIAS, ANTI-RACISM (ABAR) ADVISORY COMMITTEE
Mission Statement
The purpose of the Anti-Bias, Anti-Racism Advisory Committee (ABAR) shall be to examine issues related to bias, racism, and inequity in the District to actively guide the district in continuously identifying, describing, and dismantling the systemic racism and oppression embedded within our schools and communities. Through the combined efforts of staff, students and community members, the committee will collectively develop actionable steps for the work needed to transform our systems and policies and make recommendations to the governing board on issues related to bias, racism, and inequity.
During each meeting, the committee holds "Courageous Conversations" related to bias and racist practices in MDUSD.
ABAR will be meeting bi -monthly, on the 1st Wednesday of the month from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Please find the date and meeting location below.
