The pathways within these sectors provide a foundation in the Engineering,
Building and Construction Trades industries for MDUSD students. Students engage in an instructional program that integrates academic and technical preparation and focuses on career awareness, career exploration, and skill preparation in both the Engineering and Building and Construction Trades industry sectors. Students in these pathways leave prepared for technical training, postsecondary education, and/or entry to a career. MDUSD offers residential and commercial construction, engineering technology, and manufacturing pathways within its schools. Students within these pathways can design and build a tiny house. They can also participate in robotics’
competitions. Industry partners include the Northern California Carpenters’ Union, ENGEO, Marathon Petroleum, and Chevron.
