The Education, Child Development, and Family Services industry sector provides students with the academic and technical preparation to pursue careers in these related and growing industries. MDUSD offers pathways in Education and Family and Human Services. The Education pathway emphasizes preparing students to become teachers. Students in this pathway participate in internships in MDUSD elementary and middle schools, supporting teachers and learning some of the skills needed to be a good educator. Within our Human Services pathway, students develop skills needed for careers related to family and social services. Students in this pathway work with
different community partners to develop and implement community service projects and they also operate the food pantry on their high school campus. Industry partners
include MDUSD and Diablo Valley College, Petroleum, and Chevron.
