With the ever-changing technology and the role it places in almost every area of our economy, the need for employees who can understand, manage, and support all rapidly emerging, evolving, and converging computer, software,
networking, telecommunications, Internet, programming, and information systems has exploded. The Information Communication Technology (ICT) industry sector provides students with an introduction to the skills needed to
pursue a career within this sector. These skills include understanding systems that support the management and ow of data, the ability to work well and communicate clearly with people, and the ability to manage projects efficiently. Pathways within the ICT sector help students enter high-demand, high-wage, and high-skilled professions and provide students with excellent opportunities for interesting work and good pay.
