Colloquium (Required for teachers completing their Induction program)
The Mt. Diablo Unified School District Teacher Induction and Support Program
Colloquium is an opportunity for all participating teachers who have completed the
requirements of TISP to come together in celebration of professional learning, goals
accomplished, and progress towards mastery of the California Standards for the
Teaching Profession. During Colloquium, participating teachers will have the
opportunity to engage in reflective conversation with their peers on the professional
learning obtained over the course of Induction. It is an opportunity to celebrate your
many accomplishments!

Spring Advisory Panel
The MDUSD Teacher Induction and Support Program relies on input from our educational partners to ensure a highly effective program that meets the needs of participating teachers, students, and school sites. Our Advisory Panel meeting is a 45-minute virtual meeting, held twice each school year in which we provide information about the program and receive input from panel members. Please contact Kirsten Watson at watsonk@mdusd.org if you would like to join the Advisory Panel.

Mentors visit classrooms to provide an individual welcome & support in preparing for the school year.

Mentors help to welcome students and caregivers to the first day of school.

Creating the Conditions for Learning
This hands-on working session will provide participants with tangible strategies and materials to implement immediately to enhance a positive classroom environment. Priority enrollment to teachers with preliminary credentials and teachers who have not yet earned preliminary credentials. Teachers will be paid for their attendance. Please note that this is the same PD that was offered at Early Back Academy on July 29.

TISP Orientation
Mentors provide an Introduction to MDUSD TISP for participating teachers. Required for those enrolling in TISP for the first time, and not available to those who do not yet meet eligibility requirements or those who are already enrolled in TISP. See the Eligibility page for more information. RSVP by invitation only. Teachers will be paid for their attendance.

Mingle with the Mentors
A social gathering for MDUSD teachers with preliminary credentials, recent TISP graduates, and those who are considering or working towards a teaching credential. Come hang out with mentors and connect with each other. This event is optional and teachers will NOT be paid for participation. Feel free to drop in when you are able and leave when you are ready!

Trauma Informed Instruction
This professional development will provide an introduction to trauma-informed instruction, including types of trauma experienced by students in MDUSD, and the barriers impacting their education. Classroom strategies and adjustments that can be made easily and immediately will be provided.

60 days from enrollment. For those enrolling during the week of August 26-30 (most participating teachers), the deadline falls between October 20 and 24.
