PRESCHOOL ASSESSMENT CENTER
If you have a child between the ages of 3-4 years old who is not yet old enough for transitional kindergarten who you suspect may have a disability, please contact the District enrollment center to register your child for the purposes of assessment.
All new students enrolling to be assessed or to participate in our special education infant & preschool programs must first complete the online enrollment process. Once the online enrollment process you will need to visit the Enrollment Center to verify your address and provide the following documents:
- 2- Proofs of residency -
- Residency Requirements
- Student's Birth Certificate (original) or Passport (original)
- Immunization Record -
- Immunization Requirements (PDF)
- Parent/Guardian Picture ID
All registration documents are uploaded into your online enrollment application.
Once you provide the documents listed above, the Enrollment Center will provide you with an exit ticket including a QR code and a url to complete a Parent Questionnaire. This questionnaire provides us with essential information to determine what kind of evaluation your child needs. We cannot move forward with an assessment until all documentation is complete.
Incomplete enrollment packages will delay the assessment process.

Shadelands Preschool
Shadelands is located in Concord, CA. and is part of Mt. Diablo Unified School District. Shadelands is a special education preschool, providing services to children who have developmental delays, speech & language delays, vision impairments, orthopedic handicaps, learning disabilities, autism and behavioral difficulties. Support services include speech & language, occupational and physical therapy, vision and adaptive physical education.
Robert Shearer Preschool
Robert Shearer Preschool is located in Pleasant Hill and is a special education preschool. At Robert Shearer Preschool we teach and show our students how to play and learn with each other. We work to help our students understand what it means to be part of a school community and the skills they need to do so. We know that each child has something to say and work to increase communication through spoken language, American Sign Language (ASL) and Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC), so that our students are understood.
