Introduction to Working with Students Receiving Special Education Services (District required course for all new MDUSD Assistants)
This course is designed for special education assistants, and is offered. Course includes instruction and training on the most essential aspects of Special Education law, IEP team roles and responsibilities, research-based effective practices, disability and diversity awareness, instructional strategies and accommodations and modifications, general health care procedures, behavior management, and IEP team communication skills. Although designed for special education assistants,
course is open to anyone interested.
*You must participate throughout the class and complete a course evaluation to receive a certificate of completion to be paid for your time. (Payment for this class only is for MDUSD permanent & substitute SEAs.)
