2019-2020 School Year

(June 10, 2020 - July 8, 2020, No School on July 4th)

(Times to be determined)

Dear Parents/Guardians,

As we continue to follow guidance from all federal, state and local agencies, our priority continues to be the health and safety of our students and staff so that we can all return to school once the pandemic has abated.  Unfortunately, while we were hoping to hold our Extended School Year program on our campuses this year, we have made a difficult decision to offer our extended school year via a distance learning platform.  While this was not an easy decision, we do believe it is in the long-term best interests of our students and community.

Based on that decision, we know that some families may change your mind about allowing your child to participate in the summer program.  The format will be similar to the current program in which teachers will provide activities to be completed at home by students and also offer opportunities for virtual instruction through interactive platforms such as Google Classroom and Zoom.  We are conscious of the many competing activities you must complete in your days and as such we are working at this time we are establishing protocols for offering related services such as speech and occupational therapy via online platforms to the extent practicable while also recognizing that the goal of current educational programs is to connect with, engage and support students.

In order to hire staff to serve students enrolled in our virtual extended school year, we are asking parents/guardians of all eligible students who has Extended School Year services on their IEPs to complete the enrollment form below.  If you registered for the on-site program, please re-register for the online program.

All applications are due by Friday May 8th.  Please contact Erin Alter, Special Education Administrator or Jessica Pozos, Special Education Administrator should you have any questions or need assistance in filling out the application. Click on the sun below to sign up.
