Wren Ave Elementary: School of the Arts is a neighborhood school and part of our Regional Magnetcohort. Students at Wren study the “art” and “science” of art, fortifying core subjects by integrating the arts into curriculum and instruction. Sun Terrace STEM Magnet Schoolis a neighborhood school and part of our Regional Magnetcohort. It offers a blended learning approach that integrates Science Technology Engineering and Math (STEM) into all subject areas to provide students with a thematic approach to instruction. Holbrook Language Academyis a neighborhood school and part of our Regional Magnetcohort. It offers a Dual Immersion Program (English/Spanish) starting at transitional kindergarten. It maintains a strong focus on academic achievement, the opportunity to learn other languages, as well as engage in challenging instruction in science, technology, project based learning, and 21st century skills, preparing students for the future and global world. Monte GardensElementaryis a neighborhood and district-wide School of Choice. Enrollment is open to students who reside in the Monte Gardens boundaries and students who reside in the MDUSD boundaries. In the Diablo Basics Program at Monte Gardens Elementary, parents, students, and staff hold the vision that all students are expected to do well; parents are involved in their child's education; and students are taught to be organized in the management and preparation of their schoolwork. The Monte Gardens Kindergarten Lottery is held each year in December for children who will start Kindergarten the following August. Sequoia Elementary School is a district-wide School of Choice. In the Academics Plus Program at Sequoia Elementary School, parents, students, and staff have made a commitment to educational excellence through mastery of the basic skills while building a sense of responsibility, confidence, pride in accomplishment, and respect for self and community. Enrollment is open to students who reside in the MDUSD boundaries. The Sequoia Kindergarten Lottery is held each year in December for children who will start Kindergarten the following August.
